Identifying the effects of the first terrestrial liming trial in Nova Scotia

 

Terrestrial liming has been used for decades in Scandinavia to improve aquatic ecosystem health, yet its implementation in Canada is limited. We conducted the first ever liming trial in Nova Scotia in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Salmon Association and this project aims to assess the effects on freshwater ecosystems.
